Review: Happy Ending 2.0

Happy Ending 2.0 is a short story written by James Patrick Kelly.  This story was  published in the March/April edition of Fantasy & ScienceFiction.

This story strikes me as one that can best be appreciated by a male audience.  While the story isn’t particularly pornographic, it strikes me as the kind of pornographic fantasy a man might have if he really wants to cheat on his wife—but doesn’t want to cheat on his wife.  As such, it’s clever and well-written, but sometimes even a skillfully-told tale isn’t enough to redeem a story in the hands of the wrong audience.
